Prof. Jacob Mwitwa

Board Chairman

Professor Jacob Mwitwa has over 30 years of experience spanning environment, natural resources, agriculture, and academia, with service in public institutions, civil society, international development, and universities. He has collaborated widely with local and global organizations on governance and management of agriculture, environment, and natural resources, and has served on boards, advisory groups, and as a trustee. His research interests focus on food systems, livelihoods, and environmental governance, and he has held academic leadership roles including Dean and Head of Research and Innovation at Copperbelt University. He holds a PhD from Stellenbosch University and is currently the Vice Chancellor of Kapasa Makasa University.

Thuli

Founder / CEO

Thuli is a climate change and natural resources management expert with 20 years of experience in strategy, REDD+, carbon project management, and climate resilience. She has led international projects across Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Angola, Mombasa, and Kampala, building partnerships between rural communities and global investors. Her work centers on capacity building, climate risk management, and empowering local stakeholders to align with international climate goals. Thuli’s strong leadership and strategic skills have consistently delivered sustainable outcomes that reduce environmental impacts and improve community livelihoods.

Gaolathe Masikara

Gaolathe Masikara is a sustainability consultant with a background in Biology and an MSc in Sustainability and Environmental Management. At MESA Impact Club, she leads strategic operations that connect impact-focused enterprises with investors, driving Africa’s transition toward a resilient and low-carbon future.
